The Stand Up and Play Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), operating as a 100% volunteer-based organization. Comprising dedicated individuals who generously contribute their time and efforts, our foundation is committed to transforming active standing therapy into a reality for individuals facing mobility challenges.

Golf as a therapy addresses the development of necessary coordination and the repetition of precise sequences of movements.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear: we aim to provide wheelchair users and others with impaired mobility the opportunity to stand up and engage in recreational and everyday activities. This is achieved through facilitating access to adaptive standing equipment, clinics, and recreational programs. At the heart of our efforts is the introduction of innovative tools such as the Vertacat, Paragolfer, and other adaptive equipment. Through clinics and demonstrations, we showcase the mental and physical therapeutic benefits of standing, emphasizing its positive impact on the lives of those with mobility challenges.

Our goal is to make VertaCats/Paramobiles available to as many mobility challenged individuals, groups, support organizations, rehab centers, hospitals, and golf courses, as possible.

Helping Veterans, First Responders and Children

With your support, we continue to extend grants to veterans, first responders, children, and Golf therapy organizations, while also working towards the establishment of adaptive golf chapters throughout the US. In essence, our goal is to make adaptive standing equipment widely accessible to support organizations, rehabilitation centers, golf courses, veterans’ groups, first responders, children, and individuals. Together, we are striving to enhance the well-being of those facing mobility limitations by empowering them to stand up and participate fully in the activities they love.
