Let’s Connect

Our Goals

With your help, we are continuing to provide grants for mobility challenged Veterans, first responders, children, golf therapy clinics and rehabilitation organizations, as well as establishing adaptive sports chapters throughout the US.

The physical therapy and positive psychological benefits a disabled person achieves from standing to participate in sports and recreation has an enormous impact on their lives.

Our goal is to make VertaCats/Paramobiles available to as many mobility challenged individuals, groups, support organizations, rehab centers, hospitals, golf courses, and individuals as possible.

“I was paralyzed in Afghanistan when a 250 lb IED blew up my truck. Since I’m wheelchair-bound regular activities have been a struggle for me as well as outdoor activities. There were a lot of things that I thought I couldn’t do anymore outside. All of that changed when I met Anthony Netto Founder of the Stand Up and Play Foundation, and he got me into a Paragolfer. That machine changed my life as well as my family’s lives. I use it for everything now. I play outside with my kids, go to the range, walk my kids to school, walk the dogs, go to the beach, I’m involved with my son’s football practice, I use it when I take my service dog to training, take my kids for rides on the back of it, play sports with my kids and their friends, go for walks with my wife (Hillary Wayman) and the list goes on. I don’t know what I would do without the Paragolfer. It puts a smile on my face every time I open my garage and see it. I tell everyone else I see about it, who was injured in the military, with mobility issues. Semper Fi.

Sincerely, Staff Sergeant Jared Wayman, Texas.

The Paragolfer has been the greatest device I’ve had in the 27 years of being paralyzed. Thank you so much Anthony Netto, Stand Up and Play Foundation, and the Independence Fund. Because of your generosity | can play golf again, cruise around my yard and have fun with my children and pets! Standing up has also increased my circulation and my health has never been better! God Bless you all!

Thomas Michaud

The Paramobile allows me to enjoy so many of the outdoor activities that i lost. I can play golf again, go to the beach with my grandchildren, and use it in many places where | cannot walk. In a sense, it has given me back my legs.

Being able to play golf again is truly a blessing for sure, but family activities such as playing basketball with my boys, taking aim and shooting targets with airsoft guns, and most importantly, the ability to “weed whack” and work in my yard is an absolute joy!

My experience at Wedges and Woods was amazing !!! The programs wonderful!! the owner, employees, and volunteers are willing help you anyway possible especially with the adaptive programs. The adaptive programs really help people with any type of disability. I want to say that I look forward to going over there every week.

Life took a difficult detour three years ago when my son Walid Waitkus was paralyzed … this past fall, Anthony Netto of the Stand Up and Play foundation inspired us to a new idea and sitting around in a wheelchair just doesn’t make sense anymore
