February Love is in the Air: How Golf Brings Us Together

Posted on: February 1, 2026

February is the month of love, and at Stand Up and Play Foundation, we know that golf is a

game that brings people together. Whether it’s couples, families, or friends, golf has a way of

fostering connections and creating lasting memories.

For many, golf is more than just a sport – it’s a way to bond with loved ones and find community.

We see this firsthand through our adaptive golf programs, where veterans, first responders, and

individuals with mobility challenges come together to share in the joy of the game.

“Golf has given me a new sense of purpose,

” says Josh, a veteran/first responder and

participant in our adaptive golf program.

“I love the camaraderie and support from my fellow

golfers. It’s a feeling that’s hard to find anywhere else.

“

At Stand Up and Play Foundation, we’re passionate about making golf accessible to everyone,

regardless of ability. Our grants help individuals with mobility challenges reach their dream of

playing golf – and even qualifying for tournaments! We provide adaptive equipment

(Vertacat/Paramobile) and support to help our participants tee off with confidence.

This February, consider sharing the gift of golf with someone you love – or someone who’s

served our country. Whether it’s a lesson, a round of golf, or supporting our foundation, let’s

spread the love and make golf a part of your life.
